Let's Start With This One...

Good Morning Lovelies, 

For many people, they assume that having an ED can be fixed by just eating foods and gaining, losing, maintaining your weight. However, it isn’t like that at all.

Whilst one minute you can be getting better, the next you can be falling back into old ways. The other day, I had to admit that I was struggling to my mum. She yet again had to help me stop what I had hoped my head had not been convincing me was a good thing. 

Making me dinner, when my head told me I was being greedy and didn’t deserve it. Playing Christmas songs and snuggling up with me on the sofa, ensuring I was comfortable - I  can’t sit for long due to problems with my back - watching a film with me. She helped distract me for hours. 

There are so many days that I wish I could wake up and it all be a thing of the past. I often wonder if banging my head against the wall would rid me of it. I feel like a failure often. But hearing my mum tell me she is proud that I admitted that I needed help means that I am winning in small ways. 

No one person goes through the same thing with their ED. We are all different shapes, sizes and mentally battling our illnesses. We are all trying though. We are all hoping to win.

Whilst I know I probably won’t overcome mine completely, having an amazing mum supporting me helps. So, as I go to bed now, to sleep off the voice, who hopefully will be a bit dimmer tomorrow, I want you all to know that I am proud of you and to keep going. Slow and steady wins the race. 

And Mum, I love you to the moon, infinity and every far flung space that exists!

Good Morning Lovelies, 

It’s not very often that we delve into a hamper in our home. When I was growing up, they were the symbol of Christmas, as my mum used to get the huge Farepak ones. However, since then, we only seem to get them on really special occasions or if someone gets one for us. 

There so, when I was kindly gifted an ale filled one from Gift Hampers UK, I was delighted. Filled with pub classic snacks and newly brewed ales, this hamper has been crafted to make the receivers happy. 

Housed in a big white box, the hamper had artisan crisps, popcorn, pork crackling, peanuts, salted caramel milk chocolate thins and three cans of ale. One of a kind ales too. Great for those who like a night down their local, but on an affordable budget. 

Upon opening the hamper, I could already imagine who out of my family would enjoy this. I could even imagine which friends would too. Simply, there was something for everyone within it. The only thing missing was the glass and coaster, but it just meant that you could use your favourite one instead aha! 

I hadn’t heard of the Gift Hamper UK company before, but will definitely be using them in the future. Whether it is for Christmas this year or events in the future, where I will want an extra special present, they are a source I know I can trust to guarantee perfect service. I hope that I can try more myself in the future too.
