Good Morning Lovelies,

Whether you are a Ginger Rodgers and Fred Astaire fan or a newcomer to their classic features, the re-release of Swing Time, is bringing back around that old nostalgic cinematic beauty once again. And it hasn’t lost any of its charms!

When Lucky Garnett (Astaire), a risk-taker who is often found living up to his name, decides to take up dancing whilst gambling, he discovers a new way to live. Engaged to the lovely Margaret, Lucky, however, can’t face the idea of getting married and decides to end it. Until he lives to regret it.

Discovering that the only chance he has in marry Margaret is to pay her father, $25,000, he seeks to make his money in New York City, where he meets dance teacher Penny Carroll (Rodgers). Someone who may just change everything he has been looking for.

Innocent and enjoyable for the whole family to watch, this classic never gets old. There is a mixture of comedy, light-heartedness and the beauty of music and dance all rolled into one feature. Rodgers and Astaire are a pair who have gone down in film history for all the right reasons and this re-release will allow even more generations to discover them. As well as the beauty of the world of musical films that they created together.
