Good Morning Lovelies,

After an epic first season, the Icelandic drama Trapped has returned with an incredibly thrilling new storyline. Catching up with local police chief, Andri Olaffson (Ólafur Darri Ólafsson) again, as he faces a new mystery to solve, the series delves right into the thick of it from the start. And I am not talking about his beard, which is simply incredible on its own.

Leading a new life in Reykjavik, Andri is faced with the prospect of having to piece his family back together, after the devastation of the first season's actions. However, as he deals with one fight, he is faced with another, as a politician becomes the target of a deadly assassin. Upon identifying the attacker as someone close to the MP, after he dies, Andri finds himself returning to his former post, alongside old colleagues, Hinrika (Ilmur Kristjánsdóttir) and Ásgeir (Ingvar Eggert Sigurðsson).

The show is a constant reminder to think about why something happens when it does. The thrill, the chase and even the characters emotions, all lead to an outcome not just for the story but also those watching. Why do we do the things we do? How well do we know people? And what is it that makes us who we are? All questions brought up whilst watching. All looking for answers.

As the most expensive show in Iceland, there has been no expenses paid to ensure that Trapped becomes a must-watch. Something that is represented anywhere in the world to those watching. It is a show to delve into on a Sunday afternoon and binge the entire lot of. It is a show that brings chills but also comfort. The whodunnit element beating or meeting every expectation possible. Leading it to this…
