Black Clover Season One Part One DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

Black Clover is a new feature from Japan’s anime world that is going to be a huge hit all over the world. Inspired and based on the manga series by Yūki Tabata, each episode in season one part one brings to life a new paradise for all to bask in.

Inviting viewers to get lost in the spells and magic that take place within the story, the show follows Asta, a young orphan who discovers that he has magic powers. However, he is mocked for his talents and left standing in the shadow of his rival Yuno, a fellow orphan, leading him to be left out of the annual grimoire ceremony.

But never one to let those around him stop him from shining on, he is given a new lease of life when he stops Yuno from being harmed by a thief, earning him the reward of a legendary five-leaf clover grimoire. Something that makes his strength grow and grow.

Voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara and Nobunaga Shimazaki, the show manages to make you think about the world and how even in the face of evil there is magic present. The characters have a grip on you with their soft words and personal introductions into the worlds that their abilities are creating. As they learn, so do we and that makes for entertaining footage.

With more episodes to follow, the show is riding high with part one of the first season, which means that when the second half arrives you will not be able to hide your excitement. It is going to be an equally frilling thrill ride and with such a good opening there is a lot of hope that it will also have a super first finale.

There so, I am giving it…
