Dark River DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

When you hear that Ruth Wilson is in something, you can kind of guess that it is going to be great viewing! And Clio Barnard’s, Dark River, does not disappoint.

Playing a woman coming to turns with the death of her father, Wilson captures the character of Alice trying to regain control of the family farm and her relationship with he long lost brother.

A true British kitchen sink drama made in a modern setting, Wilson and Barnard join together to make a power feature that should have been promoted more. It is a gripping watch, which compels you as an audience member from the get-go. It is like a TV drama so good you know it is going to be a binge fest.

Also starring Sean Bean, the film is full of the best British talent and all work hard to bring to life the gripping story. There is no character who you prefer more or think about more, they all just click together and work.

It is a clever feature from Barnard, which when seen by more will reach the eyes and ears of others all over. Leading to a hopelessly endless amount of praise, which begins here as I am giving it...
