Birth Of The Dragon DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

Bruce Lee is a man that when his name is mentioned everyone knows about. Whether it be his iconic look, his incredible fighting ability or his films, the man is a legend.

Unfortunately the same can’t be said for biopic feature, Birth Of The Dragon, which takes audiences inside the early life of the star and one of his first fights. Where tension is meant to rise it lacks and where stories are meant to be learned from, they really aren’t.

Going deeper than it should, the film takes away a lot of its heart by trying to uncover the fate of king fu and if it will survive. Yet, places it in a time when Lee was obviously a rising star who was bringing the sport to the forefront of the world. Add in a romance plot that is not needed and it all becomes a bit mumble jumble.

And as for the acting, it seems as though those within the film aren’t at all comfortable with the characters and legends they are playing. In fact, they often make you uncomfortable with their inability to show how much they have learned before playing the role.

It is this sloppy nature in the film and the poor storyline that makes it all very hard to watch. Nothing compels you in and it feels as though it is letting Lee down a lot.

There so, I am giving it...
