Whilst the world was watching the real Royal Wedding, Channel 4 has already shown it! Prepared to top the big day, it called upon its hit comedy, The Windsors, to air its own version of events.

Following the lead-up, main feature and the aftermath of the big day, the show didn’t hold back in ridiculing the royal family. And in a hugely funny way.

The Windsor’s has been a powerful show to watch in recent times, with moments so silly they shouldn’t make you laugh, but do, and this wedding take is just as perfect. Harry and Meghan are captured in a completely new and inventive way by the writers, who have just gone to town on reinventing them for themselves.

Each wedding scenes feels like something the writers want to happen on the big day but know it won’t. So, they have used it to make this special episode instead. A perfect treat that feels like it gathered the best comedic tweets from the big day and made them happen. Before the ceremony had even taken place.

When watching The Windsors, it is best to leave all rational thoughts behind. And this episode is no exception. Yet, as someone who adored the big day, as many of you probably did, it is nice to relive it in a different way. A fun and over the top way. A way that people who were happy about the wedding or not can enjoy.
