The Parkinsons: A Long Way To Nowhere DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

When you think of London, what are the first things that come to mind? Is it the sites? The food? Or the music that has been legendary to the city for years. When the Millennium arrived, the world of music changed forever, with outrageous performances being shown all over the country, including performances from The Parkinsons.

Now taking audiences on a new adventure, The Parkinsons: A Long Way To Nowhere tells the story of their journey to the top of the music scene, after arriving from Portugal and the influence they left over others with their performances. The band were never ones to be quiet and this film is certainly not that.

With people comparing them to rock legends, the film is an intriguing look at how one band went and still do go to extremes to be at the top. The music is pumping throughout, giving a further look into their life, but it loses way when you come to terms with some of the things they have done to make it.

The band is willing to go to extremes, which is all well and good, but unfortunately, it hasn’t made them as well known as the film makes out. Watching this documentary was the first time, in fact, I had heard about them and it seems it may be that way for others too. It is interesting to watch and discover the band, but it does make it hard to do so if you don’t know who they are or what they are trying to achieve.

There so, I am giving the film…
