The Jia Zhangke Collection Review

06:30:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

Jia Zhangke is a director who knows how to make films that will attract audiences around the world to sit down and take notice. From his early features, such as 24 City to his later releases (A Touch of Sin), they have all now been gathered together in a special collection for the ultimate binge watch.

Looking at the way in which people impact the world and their relationships within it, the films each show a different side of humanity. Good and bad. All through the skillful camera work of a director who wants audiences to think about what they may be experiencing in the real world.

Each feature also takes audiences on an intimate look at the way China has grown and developed throughout the year. By making the characters relate so well to the issues that the people in the country have been facing. Something that many directors/creators try but many get wrong a lot of the time, Yet, Zhangke never does.

It is easy to fall into a binging session with these features and audience members who are only just discovering the director have hours of entertainment to enjoy. There so, I am giving it…
