Tommy's Honour DVD Review

07:30:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

After starring in this summer’s Dunkirk, Jack Lowden has been taking over our cinema screens. However, in his latest release Tommy’s Honour, he is sadly lacking a certain spark.

Telling the story of golfing legend Tom Morris and his relationship with his famous golfing father, the film captures Lowden trying to take on Morris’ hard to deal with emotions and family problems.

Golf isn’t normally a filming genre that is explored on screen, so when a film like this comes out it is exciting news. However, the story lacks the attention to details that are key in making such a feature stand out to audiences. Starring alongside Lowden, Sam Neill and Therese Bradley are great, but all three are let down by the way in which the story has no flow.

To take on a new genre more needed to be done, but in this case it wasn’t and it is sad to see. Little details such as the graphics and camera movements should have had more time.

There so I am giving the film…
