TAKE A LOOK AT LIZ HURLEY'S CAREER WITH THE ROYALS...

Hey Lovelies,

With one feature already being posted, I thought we should continue on with them and take a look at another one in which was created to celebrate the career of new queen Liz Hurley, who stars in the upcoming home release ‘The Royals’.

I will admit that I did not write this lovelies, as I believe the person who did deserves the credit, but I wanted to share it because it is definitely a fun look into the career of Hurley, so please take a look lovelies and enjoy…

With a voice as recognisable as it is coveted, and the most glamourous of ‘English rose’ looks, Liz Hurley is often cited as a national treasure, and with good reason. Known for never taking herself too seriously, and for always looking (and sounding) utterly impeccable, she’s the go-to for ice-queen chic. To celebrate the home entertainment release of The Royals, available on Digital HD now and on DVD from 6th July, courtesy of Lionsgate Home Entertainment, we take a look back at some of her best roles to date...

The Royals (2015): Hurley takes the role of Queen Helena in this gloriously over-the-top, scandalous drama based around the lives and loves of an outrageous fictional Royal family. The Queen, along with her wayward offspring, womanising Prince Liam (William Moseley), and wild child Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park) are forced to confront a constitutional crisis following the accidental death of the heir to the throne, Prince Robert; albeit without giving up their hedonistic ways. Also starring Dame Joan Collins, the series has already made its mark as the ultimate guilty pleasure.

Gossip Girl (2011-2012): This hit show from the CW ran for 6 seasons, and Hurley joined in Season 5, immediately shaking things up across all storylines. She played Diana Payne, a wealthy businesswoman who Nate (Chace Crawford) meets at a party hosted at her house. The two then meet again in New York, and she is revealed to have moved to New York as she's the new owner of The New York Spectator. She also featured heavily in storylines involving the ongoing mystery revolving around the parentage of Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) and the true identity of Ivy Dickens (Kaylee DeFer).

Serving Sara (2002): This romantic comedy co-stars Matthew Perry as Joe Tyler, a former attorney making his living as a process server and presenting people with legal papers. When Joe is given one more chance at work with a high-profile client, Gordon (Bruce Campbell), a wealthy Texas cattle baron divorcing his wife and business partner, Sara (Hurley) for another woman, it leads to all manner of complications. Joe presents Sara with the divorce papers, but she refuses to go down without a fight; she offers him a deal- if he's willing to take back the papers, say he never presented them, and serve a divorce petition to Gordon first, she'll pay Joe a million dollars...

Bedazzled (2000): This remake of the 1967 rom-com satire with Peter Cooke and Dudley Moore features Hurley in one of her most memorable roles- as the Devil herself. Brendan Fraser plays the hapless Elliot Richards, a socially inept IT worker completely in love with his co-worker Allison (Frances O'Connor). Elliot is approached by the Devil, who offers him seven wishes in exchange for his soul. Seeing it as an opportunity to win the affections of the woman of his dreams, Elliot accepts, but his wishes inevitably fail to turn out exactly as he plans; after transforming into a tycoon, a NBA basketball player, a famous author, the most sensitive man in the world, and even the president of the United States, Elliot realises that the Devil has added a critical loophole to every wish granted... and despite his efforts, he’s no closer to winning over Allison...

EDtv (1999): Hurley stars alongside Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in this satire of celebrity set in San Francisco. In a last-ditch attempt to drive up ratings, a TV network agrees to televise the daily life of an ordinary person, 24 hours a day. Ed (McConaughey) becomes an overnight star, but the fame inevitably comes at a price. Producer Cynthia Topping (Ellen Degeneres) begins to manipulate his life, engineering scenarios with new characters- once his girlfriend Shari (Jenna Elfman) leaves to escape the infringement on her personal life, Jill (Hurley) shows up and begins to seduce him- but she isn’t all she seems...

Permanent Midnight (1998): Based on Jerry Stahl’s autobiography of the same name, this drama stars Hurley alongside Ben Stiller in the lead role and a supporting cast that includes Owen Wilson, Maria Bello and Cheryl Ladd. It follows the exploits of Stahl, whose $6,000-a-week heroin habit resulted in a downward spiral which included him taking his infant daughter on his drug runs and indulging in his habit during TV script meetings. Following a spell in rehab, Stahl looks back on his life with fellow patient Kitty; memories which feature his British wife Sandra (Hurley) and his agent Vola (Lourdes Benedicto).

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery / The Spy Who Shagged Me (1997 / 1999): The beloved cult comedy films starring Mike Myers as the outrageous spy from the 60’s, who is cryogenically frozen and released in the 1990’s, feature Hurley in one of her most memorable roles. She plays Vanessa Kensington, the daughter of Marie Kensington, Austin's partner from the 1960s. As one of the secret agents that welcome the thawed Austin Powers to 1990, she’s initially appalled by Austin's un-PC attitude, but soon warms to him and inevitably they fall in love. The sequel however, reveals a particularly problematic aspect to her personality... while offering a sly nod to the Bond girls of yesteryear.

Rowing With the Wind (1988): This drama takes place in the summer of 1816, and focuses on poet Percy Shelley (Valentine Pelka), his fiancée Mary Shelley (Lizzy McInnerny), Mary's stepsister Claire Clairmont (Hurley) and Lord Byron (Hugh Grant). The group take a holiday at a villa rented by Byron at Lake Geneva and Byron challenges each of his friends to write a horror story- resulting in Mary beginning her novel, Frankenstein. She imagines the monster becoming real, and for the next six years, as various tragedies befall her friends and family, she begins thinking that perhaps her imagined monster is the cause. Meanwhile, Claire must contend with the consequences of having Byron's baby...

‘The Royals’ will be out on DVD next week lovelies, but you can get it now digitally lovelies!
