BE A PART OF ROALD DAHL'S FICTIONAL WORLD WITH PERSIL...

Hey Lovelies,

This is one of those posts that do not match a lot of the blog’s normal posts, but I wanted to feature it because it is a little related to the upcoming release of ‘The BFG’ that is coming out very shortly lovelies!

Summer has reached us and Persil are using the hot season to team up with Quentin Blake and the Roald Dahl Literary Estate to bring to life a messy adventure that the whole family can enjoy, as the characters in the famous novels by Roald Dahl are brought to life in an interactive new story.

Called ‘My Messy Adventure’, the new story allows children to step into the pages and meet the characters that have changed their childhoods. By using a smartphone or a tablet, the new world can be found here lovelies: www.persil.co.uk/Roald-Dahl and is being used to help not only discover the great tales, but also to encourage families to go out and enjoy the sunshine, which I did yesterday lovelies.

By becoming a custom avatar, the adventure on screen allows them to learn about the outdoors and how they can experience it, while getting messy and having fun along the way, as they gather items for their digital scrapbook to go along with the interactive adventure.

And I have the first extract from ‘My Messy Adventure’ right here for you lovelies to enjoy: The young lady recoils from Matilda like she’s a bad smell. Then she rushes away in disgust. "That was a close shave," says the little girl. "If you'd given that old witch the book, she would have turned you into a mouse for sure. It’s a good job you’re now covered in dirt. Witches hate the smell of children. To them, clean children smell worse than dog’s droppings!”

Speaking about the new campaign, Luke Kelly, MD of the Roald Dahl Literary Estate and Roald Dahl’s grandson says: "My grandfather strongly believed that children should race outside to climb trees, study insects, jump in puddles, kick a ball around or just "muck about". He thought that all children need fresh air, freedom and crazy adventures on a regular basis. He would certainly encourage you to get as muddy and messy as possible, before returning your dirty clothes to mum or dad. "My Messy Adventure" cleverly harnesses the technology kids use on a daily basis, along with the irresistible lure of some of Roald's most beloved characters and creatures, to encourage kids to get out and about and discover the wonders of nature, small and large in their own messy, anarchic adventures."

Also speaking about the new campaign, Bernie Hall, assistant brand manager for Persil UK and Ireland says:  “We champion the value of outdoor play, but understand that some kids can be reluctant to go outside, preferring to watch TV or play on mobile devices.  By harnessing the power of technology, and a unique partnership with family favourite Roald Dahl, we’ve found the perfect way to engage the next generation and entice them outside – and with Persil taking care of the resultant mess and stains, parents can enjoy it just as much as their kids. ”

Also speaking about the event, TV personality, mum of two and the first try the story, Gabby Logan says: “I loved reading Roald Dahl books when I was growing up, and then again with my children – our all-time favourite is Matilda!  With ‘My Messy Adventure’ from Persil, kids can actually become part of the story and it brilliantly combines the enchantment of Roald Dahl with fun, physical outdoor activities.  With the summer holidays approaching, this is a fantastic, free way to entertain the whole family.”

The special Persil packs will be out on the 1st July lovelies, so don’t miss them to embark on the perfect summer stories, in which one will be turned into a huge film soon lovelies!
