Hey Lovelies,
Now who here is always looking for a new interesting show to
watch even if you already have so many that you are watching? Well if you are
then you are just luck me. If I am not keeping up to date with new films, I am
trying to keep up to date with what everyone is watching and therefore I am
definitely going to have to keep an eye out for this new show coming to Sky 1.
Working alongside legendary Stan Lee on his first TV drama,
Sky 1 have announced that they will be working on an original idea with him
called ‘Lucky Man’, which will be out in 2016.
The show will star James Nesbitt, Eve Best, Sienna Guillory,
Amara Karan, Darren Boyd, Omid Djalili, Jing Lusi and Kenneth Tsang, in which
it will follow DI Harry Clayton, a cop who is part of the Murder Square.
One day he is given a charm from a mystery woman that
enables the person wearing it to be able to control luck, which is just the
thing Harry needs, as he has been struggling to cope after his wife and
children leave him due to his gambling habit. His boss believes he is working
with the devil and a huge debt clouds over him with an underworld crime boss. But
will this new luck be more dangerous than good? We will have to watch and find
out lovelies.
This new drama will join a number of original pieces coming
from the channel including ‘Birthday’, ‘The Five’, ‘The Last Panthers’, ‘Critical’,
‘Enfield Haunting’, ‘Fungus the Bogeyman’, ‘Apocalypse’ and the returning shows
‘Penny Dreadful’ and ‘Strike Back’.
Speaking about the show, Adam MacDonald, Director of Sky 1 said:
“Lucky Man is a visually striking crime thriller from the legend that is Stan
Lee for Sky 1. The show is mysterious, thrilling, energetic and sure to appeal
to our customers. I’m honoured that Sky 1 is working with Stan Lee on his first
UK TV drama and I can’t wait for our customers to experience the gifts and misfortunes
that luck can bring”.
Also speaking about the show, Stan Lee, Chief Creative
Officer of POW! Entertainment commented: “Luck has always been a fascinating
subject to me, and I am excited to finally share that fascination with
audiences around the world. With all the creative projects I have worked on, I
sure am a lucky man myself and I am excited to be working with Sky 1 and
Carnival Films on this latest project”.
And Richard Fell, Executive Producer said: “Lucky Man is a
different kind of superhero show – Stan has come up with an absolutely
brilliant idea; something that we can all relate to. What if you could control
luck? Would that be the greatest thing you could give someone, or their worst
nightmare? It’s a twist which brings the whole superhero genre right back down
to earth, which we hope will appeal to the Sky 1 audience.”
I will be adding this to my look out list lovelies. What do
you think of the sound of this? It sounds like an interesting watch from Stan
Lee.
