The Christmas Trap DVD Review

07:30:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

A bit like The Parent Trap mixed in with Switched at Birth, The Christmas Trap is the perfect teenage film to transport you back in time to those classic Christmas features Nickelodeon and Disney use to show.

Following two teenagers called Kara and Jessie, as they end up switching lives during the holiday season, the film has every ounce of cheese that you would expect. Yet, it doesn’t make you hate it. In fact, with the wealthy Kara and the modest Jessie learning to live in different worlds, it is a fun feature to delve into on a lazy afternoon.

The film shows a different side to the world of Christmas films and with a teenage audience sure to fall for this film, it is a feature that you can expect on Netflix or Amazon very soon. There is a mix match within the plot in fact that makes it perfect for this kind of distribution.

There is an obvious sense that this film isn’t going to be an intense viewing, but then no Christmas film should be. These characters know what they are doing, how to have fun in all situations and to show how different lives are lived at Christmas. All in a viewable way.

And whilst there may not be an award-worthy script to go with the film, the character's likeability and the festive atmosphere makes it a feature that the whole family can enjoy. There so, I am giving it…
