Team Khan DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

When Amir Khan appeared in I’m A Celebrity, the world took to him in two very different ways. One side of us loved him and the other side of us disliked him. And mostly all due to Strawberry gate.

In Team Khan, a documentary created before his time in the jungle, Amir’s world is captured intently. From his rise to being a world-renowned boxer to his work in Pakistan and family life, the film shows the more delicate side to the man who is known for his wicked right hook. And his left.

Known and captured as an underdog figure, the film shows the sides of Khan that he hasn’t let people know before. Or at least see. The nature of his character is put out on display and he is showing everyone what is hopefully his truthful world and being.

However, there is an element of knowing within the film that makes it a bit lacklustre. Many know how hard he trains and what he puts into a fight, through his open and honest interviews. There is also no shock factor in the way in which he displays the difference between home and the ring.

Whilst the documentary goes inside Khan’s life and ideals enough to bring something fresh, it doesn’t feel like it delves deep enough to give us the full man. The person who doesn’t spend all day fighting.

There so, I am giving it…
