Secret Santa DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

When you think of Christmas films, there is a warmth to them. The cosy feeling that they leave you feeling like everything is right with the world. Yet, FrightFest and Signature Entertainment have decided to change all this with their second feature, Secret Santa.

Nothing like the well-known idea of gifting someone something without them knowing who gave it to them, this is a gore fest. Following a family gathering, which ends in one of the biggest family feuds you will ever see, this new style festive film will change everything that you thought you knew about family gatherings.

With the star on top of the tree being used as a dagger and the Christmas meal being deadly, the film tests the patience of all those watching whilst also adding comedy and mayhem. It may sound like the same thing that happens in many family homes, but it really and truly isn’t lovelies.

When the creator of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D makes a Christmas film, you should know that everything is going to be tested and weirdly it works. Unlike Die Hard with the action or Home Alone with the sweetness, this truly goes all out to try and shock viewers at Christmas. Let’s just say there are some real Scrooge’s involved.

The film is going to make you rethink what you thought you knew about merry features during December. In fact, there is going to be a big change when it comes to what you choose if you love horror films. This is fresh and fun, whilst also being a one of a kind film.

And that is why I am giving it…

3 ½ Stars
