I am going to start this review by saying that I did not know what I expected from this film, but honestly, it wasn’t what I got. The Endless, a brand-new UFO feature film, was described in a way that made it sound like a bad sci-fi feature. However, it was far from it.

Following two brothers, played by directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the film captures the two former alien cult members embark on a life away from their believes. Or attempt to at least. As they find themselves pulled back in thanks to a mysterious message on a videotape they receive. All of which pulling them back into the cult they thought they had left behind.

Full of bizarre traits, the film does go into a world of madness and chaos at times, but the brilliant cast and script pulls it back together well to make it incredibly watchable. Directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have used the “ones to watch” status effectively and will definitely be introducing themselves to more audiences effectively with this feature, which they can definitely be proud of.

Whether you like UFO stories or ET was the last straw for you, The Endless will leave you thinking about everything you have witnessed for days. The wild adventure that the two brothers go on to find out what the tape’s message really means is a fresh look at a genre that has been overtaken by films that have been nothing but snooze-worthy. This is how an alien feature should be done.
