I have a new film for you all now, as 20th Century Fox has announced the release of a brand-new trailer for the upcoming – and what looks amazing – The Hate U Give, featuring Amandla Stenberg!

Directed by George Tillman Jr and starring Stenberg, Regina Hall, Russell Hornsby, Lamar Johnson, Issa Rae, Algee Smith, Sabrina Carpenter, Common and Anthony Mackie, this all-star feature film follows a young girl as she faces two worlds and the darkness in both.

Starr Carter (Stenberg) is always switching between two places. The black neighbourhood she lives in and the white prep school she goes to. However, the pair soon crash into one another, when she witnesses the fatal shooting of her best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Something that causes her to stand up for her community and what is right by raising her voice above all others.

The film is due out on the 2nd November lovelies and looks like it could be an award-worthy feature just from this trailer. See what I mean below…
