Den Of Thieves DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

Gerard Butler has taken on the presidency, love and even Tomb Raider, but in new film Den of Thieves, he can’t save the day, unfortunately!

Playing a cop, who is working to take down a gang in his working area, Butler’s character falls flat on the mark of presenting something fresh. It, in fact, feels like a character we all know Butler for playing.

Don’t get me wrong, the film has its moments and there are times it works really well. But these are normally moments that need more build to them and this film doesn’t do that. In fact, a lot of Butler’s fellow big names don’t do much to save the film. They are often found standing in the background of all the action when they could be joining in and bringing the story back to life with the involvement!

Director Christian Gudegast is obviously hoping to give audiences something new. Something that will stand out in the Netflix filled action features. However, whilst he effectively brings some excitement, the story doesn’t manage to hold onto it for long.

With so much lacking, the film is hard to watch at times and not because of the action but due to the lack of it. The film manages to stage a lot of stunts, yet they fall flat and Butler doesn’t even seem to be enjoying them anymore.

There so, I am giving the film...
