800 Words Series One DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

You know those Sunday night dramas that use to be on and the whole family would sit and watch with crumpets or cheese on toast? Well, get ready to experience a new one all the way from Australia, as 800 Words Series One makes its way onto DVD today!

Following a father and his two children, the show captures them as they come to terms with the death of their mother and wife, whilst also moving to New Zealand to start a new life. Upon moving to the new town, the family finds themselves meeting the locals in very interesting ways, which continue to shine on.

The show is a sweet family friendly watch that will have you laughing one minute and crying the next. Like a mixture of Neighbours and Round the Twist, the family dynamic works wonders and has you wanting to watch on. In fact, I am glad that I got to see the whole series because it is nice easy viewing to watch one right after the other with.

However, what works best is the way in which it seems real. When the family dynamic is tested and split up, it feels real and makes you understand their emotions and feelings better as a viewer. Something some shows miss out on when building a character arc.

Overall, the show is something that you can enjoy on a Sunday afternoon with a nice cup of tea and biscuits, whilst wrapped up in a blanket on the sofa. Just be prepared to watch one right after the other once you start.

There so, I am giving it…
