LA Vengeance DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

I'm going to start by saying that when a film mentions that Jason Momoa is in it, they really should include him in! In LA Vengeance, the latest feature from Bruce Willis, the pair appear on the cover together, however, this isn't exactly the good cop, bad cop feature you may be thinking it is.

Playing an LA-based private investigator, Willis returns to the action, as his character tries to find the gang members who have stolen his dog, Buddy. Making deals along the way with Momoa's gang leader, the films brings in John Goodman to round it off as Willis' characters best friend who joins him to work out how he can get the money to get his dog back.

The film feels very much like it is trying to be John Wick, however, there isn't the charm in this one that Wick has. The characters don't appear as much as you would like – Momoa is hardly in it in fact – leading to a huge sense of disappointment that the characters were not ready or developed enough to portray the story they are trying to. In fact, the script is one big mess.

When you think a storyline has finally got going, it completely changes and becomes an over the top mess that doesn't really know what it wants to do. The characters go off and do their own thing when they are meant to be leading the audience and the world they are in just stops spinning for a long time. All of which causing a huge amount of viewing disappointment.

There so, I am giving the film...
