Batman Vs. Two-Face DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

As we prepare for the Justice League to take over our screens, the world of DC is bringing to life a new Batman adventure just beforehand to keep us busy whilst we wait. In a new animation feature, Batman Vs. Two-Face is like a time travelling piece of cartoon proportions.

Voiced by the late great Adam West in his final performance as Batman, the character and Robin are back in 60s style to help protect Gotham City from the evil Two-Face, voiced by Captain Kirk himself William Shatner, who brings back to life the villain many will remember from The Dark Knight. Causing a crime wave across Gotham, the pair must stop him before he continues to cause trouble for the city’s residents. However, when Two-face recruits Catwoman, the Joker, Penguin plus many more of his villains, Batman begins to realise that he may not be able to save everyone this time around. Including himself.

Almost instantly you recognise West is back and having a lot of fun returning to play the character. Bouncing off Shatner’s evil villain, the pair have a blast at making a DC adventure for all ages, that feels vintage. Whilst watching it feels like you are viewing those cartoons that you use to see on Saturday mornings or just before school. There were never always amazing but you enjoyed them and continued to watch them all the time. Exactly how this film feels, but with a bit more DC charm added to it.

For comic book fans, who are worried about how the DC world is being portrayed on the big screen, this adventure will make them fall head over heels with the work of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment all over again. It is a strong animation that has had care and attention applied to it to make it enjoyable for all.

There so I am giving it…

4 Stars
