Good Morning Lovelies,

Scandi-noir isn’t an area I have explored much of! But with new series Valkyrien reaching our DVD stands, I decided to delve into the world of the show and find out what is making so many people fall in love with it.

After trying experimental research on his ill wife, the show follows a surgeon who sets up his own illegal hospital to try and help those around him, whilst also finding out the secrets of those around him. Including the place in which he lives.

The show is a dark story but one with so much intrigue and interest that the story hooks you in right from the start. Sven Nordin, who plays Doctor Ravn, the man behind the hospital has a sinister look to him throughout that makes you never fully trust him as an audience member.

It is this unsettling feeling and the overall plot of the show that makes for the thrilling ride that this show is. Although I haven’t watched all of the episodes yet, it is a show that I will definitely be doing so with, as it has already hooked me in too much.
