I am sure that many of you know the hit song Electric Dreams by Phil Oakley! But did you know that the song came from a hit film called Electric Dreams? Well don’t despair if not, because the film is making its Blu-ray debut today and so I thought it would be the perfect time to review it.

In a newly restored format, the film follows Miles, a helpless architect who is struggling to deal with his life, after his computer Edgar decides to ruin it. With bills run up to the full amount, cancelled travel plans and the computer trying to steal his girlfriend, the film captures him at a bad time.

This comedy may seem a bit depressive, but actually the film is a hugely light-hearted treat. The comedy and laughs keep coming throughout and when mixed in with the great soundtrack and killer hit song, the film stands out amongst others.

It is east to see how it earned its cult status, as the small details and hugely witty comments make it a success. The whole film is a mixture of pure delight in fact.
