Released in 2013, Ip Man: The Final Fight is out now on DVD at last. Celebrating the life of martial arts Ip Man, the film takes us on a journey of his later years in Hong Kong, as he teaches Wing Chun on a rooftop in a hotel.

Set in 1949, the film captures Ip Man when he begins to teach students, Tang Shing, Leung Sheung, Wong Tung, Lee King and Chan Sei-mui, whilst also facing the loss of his wife who finds it hard living in Hong Kong and moves away, never returning to see her husband again before her death.

The film is a true look at the hardships which come from some of the hardest characters we see on screen. Many real stories capture moments that are tough, however, this film shows the depths of the character in a very interesting way. It makes audiences hearts change continuously and you are often wondering how Ip Man stays so strong.

It is a gripping real story that not only demonstrates the wonderful world of Ip Man, in a different way to the other films in the series but makes an entertaining watch. One that stays with you for a long time.
