Midnight Sun DVD Review

07:30:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

Over the past few years, I have watched a lot of different films and TV shows from around the world. Today marks the release of the latest show I have binged watched, Midnight Sun, a new thriller from France and Sweden starring Leïla Bekhti and Gustaf Hammarsten.

Based in Kiruna, the show is made up of eight episodes and follows the characters as they investigate a brutal murder of a French citizen in the town. Joining forces Kahina Zadi, a French police officer and Swedish DA Anders Harnesk, try to find out who did it whilst also trying to stop the killer doing more harm.

The show is an intense thrill ride that makes every moment a suspenseful one. As a clue is found another crime is committed and the whole story gets blown away again. But not in a way that would normally be annoying. More in a way that holds your attention and works its way into your brain.

Many of the characters are likeable and as the search goes on and on, so does the audiences need to find out more about each character and what they are doing or feeling. A refreshing quality to a detective show that is so dark at times.

There so I am brightening this show with this…

4 Stars
