Introducing The Batterbun To Celebrate Season Three Of Bake With Anna Olson

Good Afternoon Lovelies,

Who is looking forward to Easter this weekend? I have an amazing five days off work and I am ready to spend them in the sun, so April bring it on aha!

For many of us it is a time to enjoy many hot cross buns (we have had them in our house since February), but what about trying something new? Introducing the Batterbun, a mix between a sweet and spicy hot cross bun and sugary Battenberg cake.

Created by Anna Olson, the new cake is to celebrate her hit show, Bake with Anna Olson, returning to the Food Network channel and now she would like you lovelies to help recreate it or to come and try it. With almonds, cinnamon, apricots and marzipan all being included in the recipe, this sweet treat is not to be missed at the  East London bakery Lily Vanilli this Easter Sunday, ahead of the series premiere on Monday 24 April.

All you have to do lovelies is follow @FoodNetwork_UK on Twitter or @FoodNetworkUK on Facebook and Instagram to be able to enjoy one of these limited-edition treats.

Speaking about the new recipe, Phillip Luff, Managing Director, Scripps Networks Interactive, UK & EMEA said: “We’re thrilled for the return of Bake with Anna Olson on Food Network. We wanted to celebrate Anna’s pastry prowess and the premiere of the third series with this delightful new Easter treat. We really hope people find the new season as irresistible as the Battenbun itself.”

Whilst Anna added: “The best part about the launch of the third series is that I can continue to share my incredible world of baking with the UK. I hope both the Battenbun and upcoming season of Bake with Anna Olson inspires the UK to get their rolling pins out and join me on another sweet adventure.”

If you would like to try the recipe at home lovelies, here is what you need and what to do…

Easter is looking even better lovelies! What do you think of the newest hot cross bun recipe?
