Good Morning Lovelies,

Arrow Videos are at it again and providing us with a new cult classic on Blu-ray, as they have released the classic Dead or Alive Trilogy for the first time today!

Never had a franchise opened with a six-minute montage full of sex, drugs and violence, but this is what you get when you first put on this trilogy. And it doesn’t stop until you turn the film off when it ends. Following Ryuichi and his gang, the films show them trying to take over the drugs trade in Tokyo.

As soon as the film begins, you get this sense of a Tarantino style film. The characters and the story are something that has many influences to and from Tarantino and it is the appeal that will hook audiences in. The action and the story are gripping.

However, there are several plot holes. The story does go a little bit mad at times, causing your attention to either be distracted or leading to confusion that makes you unable to watch the rest of the film or having to continuous rewind to understand.
