Good Afternoon Lovelies,

Today is World Book Day and to celebrate I thought we could look at some of the exciting films that are coming out this year, based on the books that came before them. Some of them have already been released lovelies, but many we can still look forward to!

Here are 10 films based on books that you should not miss lovelies...

Hidden Figures: If you haven’t seen this film yet, then make sure to head to the cinema as soon as possible to catch the film that will change everything you thought you knew about NASA. It is an inspiring story that has been portrayed on screen amazingly.

Before I Fall: When a young girl dies and is forced to relive the last day she was alive for a week, this mystery film will have you on the edge of your seats, much like the book did, as you see the pages unfold. Definitely, one to look out for!

The Adventures of Captain Underpants: The classic children’s story is about to be made into a film and with Kevin Hart at the heart of it, there is sure to be many laughs and belly hurting moments to be had.

Beauty and The Beast: Based on the classic French novel, this Disney remake has got everyone excited and is sure to be a thing of pure beauty when it takes over our screens in two weeks’ time.

Fifty Shades Darker: Already out in cinemas, E.L. James book has had a huge success at the box office and continues to do so. With only one more book to screen adaptation, don’t miss the second part of the franchise.

Murder on The Orient Express: The classic Agatha Christie story is being adapted again for the big screen with Johnny Depp boarding the train to give new audiences a murder mystery that continues to stand the test of time.

Wonder: With a facial deformity, the young character in this book is sadly shunned by the school children around him. However, the most heart-breaking thing about this book is the way he explains how he sees himself. The film is going to be an emotional one lovelies.

Everything, Everything: Allergic to the world around her, a young girl is forced to live inside her home, with no contact allowed to the outside world. Until a new family moves in next door and her attention is caught by the teenage boy next door. The book is amazing and the film looks set to be just as big.

The Zookeeper’s Wife: An incredible real life story, this book and film will have you feeling all sorts of emotions, as they show the incredible story of how a husband and wife managed to save hundreds of people from the Nazi’s by hiding them in the empty cages in their zoo.

IT: Stephen King’s book has already been made into a film, but this year a new one is coming out to scare us all. Prepare for all of the on screen jumps and spooks by reading the book before you see it.
