Inferno DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

A long time ago my dad made us all sit down and watch The Da Vinci Code starring Tom Hanks. Not old enough to really understand what it was about, I had higher hopes of understanding and enjoying the new film in the franchise Inferno.

Starring Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones, the film carries on from the aftermath of Angels and Demons, as Hanks’ character awakes in hospital unsure of what has happened to him. Working alongside Felicity Jones’ doctor character, they try to defeat and beat the next case they are left to handle.

Like the previous films in the franchise, this one manages to bring to life the twists and turns of the Dan Brown novel. However, it sometimes feels as though important elements are being left out and questions are being left unanswered with the lack of attention to detail within the film's script.

Unlike the clever way in which Brown describes each key element and moment within the book, the scriptwriters seemed to have left out important elements to fit in the action surrounding Hanks and Jones characters.

There is one thing that really stands out in this film though lovelies and that is the incredible way in which Ben Foster brings his evil character to life. Foster is continuing to shine on screen and his role in this film stands out against the great Hanks and Jones.

Overall the film is an enjoyable third film in the franchise, but there is a lack of energy and strength within the script.

This makes the entire film seem to drag and the characters’ lives, not seem as filled or played out as well as we have seen before.

There so I am giving the film...

3 Stars
