Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

This weekend I sat down with my family and watched a classic film that is regarded as director Sam Peckinpah’s final masterpiece. Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia is a film about a piano player who ends up looking for Alfredo Garcia, a man with a high price on his head.

The film is a romantic story, mixed up in a thrilling and bloody war between those involved, making it different to many of the other classics on screen. With the added 4K treatment, the action is played out in a much more graphic way, as the new edition captures the beauty of the filmmaking and what the director was intending to share with audiences.

Each scene has a different mood or feel to it that really makes it stand out on screen. Violence mixed with the love between the characters on screen is a weird but clever mix from the director as it feels more like a secret message to audiences.

With Warren Oates leading the way, the film also has a great actor to make sure the story gets told right and the power he presents, alongside Isela Vega, is one that many film couples are still trying to recreate now. Maybe just not in such a mixed up world.

There so I am giving the film...

4 Stars
