Stretch and Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives DVD Review

A few weeks ago I was sent the film, Stretch and Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives, to review and so this weekend I sat down and got stuck in. The film is an interesting insight into some of the biggest starting points for many hip hop artists.
After influencing rappers including Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Common and Eminem, The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show was famous for bringing them to audiences attention. Now in this documentary you get to see not only these stories but the ones of the people who helped their stories come to light.
Through never before seen interviews and first looks at where some of the biggest music talents came from this is a music lovers dream. Especially if you are a hip hop fan. With familiar faces from every decade, the radio show is a cultural classic and everyone should remember it.
This film is allowing audiences to see where the magic started. However, there are moments where you do sense that you have seen or heard information like this before. Yet it doesn’t take away the charm and the appeal of the documentary film.
