Shock and Gore DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,
When you think of horror films you think of the classic 80s
slasher films or the good, the bad and the ugly we have had over the recent
years. But not many would think of the 60s as being a time in which you would
associate with horror films.
However in 1963, director Herschell Gordon Lewis changed
just that and in the new box set celebrating his films, fans of the genre will
see where some of the classic moments that recent horror films have recreated.
From Two Thousand Maniacs to Scum of the Earth, the films
touch on some very taboo subjects in very graphic ways. Well for the 60s
anyway. The exploitation that is in these films for the times allows for cult
classics to come from the film.
While the special features are not the best, Lewis makes
sure to keep viewers entertained with his use of the horror genre being his.
Every film features a moment or an element that you later find in others and it
becomes a sequence of trying to find it.
They are cult classics. The films are what many look for and
many have been inspired by, which is why I am giving the film box set...
