Lucifer Season One DVD Review

07:00:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

I don’t know about you lovelies, but for me TV just keeps getting better and better. If a show can make me laugh, cry, smile or angry at it than you know you have done something well. In the case of Lucifer, the show often brings a smile to my face.

After stumbling upon the show on Amazon Video, Lucifer showed me a new side to the devil. Played by Tom Ellis, the show presents him as an outcast from Hell who comes to live on earth. However during his time on it he finds a cop who is immune to his charms and power. Intrigued by her, he decides to work on her cases while also battling his own personal demons.

Ellis completely changes the way people will look at him and the roles he has done before with this. More of a ladies man than a man afraid to show his love in Miranda, Ellis is a strong TV presence and makes Lucifer comedic and charming throughout the season. Without his wit, it would not succeed.

With special appearances and stars who also add charm to the show, each episode provides a devilish delight in new cases and old matters, whilst also breaking down the previous heaven and hell notions that shows have focused on.

Lucifer’s writers have made sure that this is a show for the modern audience. The show doesn’t rely on what people know, it relies on breaking it down and giving them a new show to follow, focus on and get to grips with.

You don’t feel like you are being forced to watch something that some people may not like. You are watching to find out why the characters are the way that they are and what makes them that way. And this continues throughout the whole of the first season.

There so I am giving Lucifer a heavenly treat with this...
