Beck Volume Two DVD Review

07:00:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

And how are we all today? Well, I hope! A few weeks ago I was sent the TV series, Beck, to review as it celebrates its upcoming season by releasing volume two of the show on DVD.

Following detective Martin Beck, homicide investigator Steinar Hovland and police supervisor Klas Feden, the show sees them tackle cases including the murder of a journalist whilst also working through their own personal problems. As a crime series, this show does not hold back.

With the characters played by Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivjul and Peter Haber, the show is definitely high in the top ten Nordic Noir dramas that there has ever been. The characters are played in a way that makes them real. You really feel for them at times and you want to delve not only into the incidents on screen but their lives.

Each case leaves you also wanting more. You want to know who has done it and you want to know how the cases will impact the lives of those in the show. The way in which the police storylines and the capture of how they take and carry out an investigation are key to this.

While I still have a few more episodes to go I am hooked. I want to go back to the start and delve into the show deeper. I want to know more and I am sure many of you will too.

This is why I am giving it…
