GO NOW DVD REVIEW

08:49:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

I am here now to share with you a very special film. Marking the 20th anniversary of the release of the film, Go Now, the film is finally being released on DVD and with every purchase £1 will go to the MS Society.

With 100,000 people affected by Multiple sclerosis in the UK, the film follows an amateur footballer known as Nick, played by Robert Carlyle, as his is struck by a sudden illness. Nick sadly begins to experience double vision and numbness, which causes his relatives and loved ones including Karen, played by Juliet Aubrey, to worry about him.

As they begin to come to terms with Nick’s illness, the pair are faced with personal problems that show the affects the illness can have on a relationship and the person suffering from the condition. It is a heart breaking portrayal that opens eyes to those who don’t know much about the illness still 20 years later.

The cleverly constructed TV film makes for brilliant TV and the way in which Carlyle and Aubrey play the couple shows some of the greatest TV performances of all time. The couple feel real and their relationship seems genuine which is key to a story such as the one in the show.

This is why I am giving it…
