FIND OUT WHAT THE ARROW CAST DID BEFORE THEY WERE ON THE SHOW

14:56:00

Good Afternoon Lovelies,

Now how many of you are like me and sat and watched a film or a TV show and missed 99% of the plot because you are wondering where a person is from? What else have they been in? Are they a distant relative?

Well if it has happened to you lovelies when watching the TV show Arrow I am about to help you out. To mark the upcoming release of the new season on DVD and Blu-ray I have kindly been sent a very helpful feature that shows where you may have seen each and every actor before.

Get ready to point those minds at ease…

Former billionaire playboy turned vigilante archer, Oliver Queen has faced many a foe whilst protecting Star City as The Arrow, but none can rival the strength and brutality of Ra’s al Ghul. Season 4 follows Arrow and his team as they fight for their lives and the safety of their city against a barrage of foes including the League of Assassins, as The Arrow’s identity is revealed and Ra’s al Ghul has a special request for our Emerald Archer. To celebrate the release of Arrow Season 4 on Blu-ray and DVD on September 5th, let’s take a look at the previous roles of our favourite Arrow stars.

Green Arrow/Oliver Queen – Stephen Amell: Despite being most recognisable as the vigilante of Star City, Amell also had a starring role in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows as Casey Jones. Casey is also a vigilante, but wears a hockey mask rather than a green hood and often wields sports equipment to take down the bad guys. Casey is the love interest of April O’Neil, played by Megan Fox in this reincarnation of the franchise, and fights alongside Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo to take down Shredder and save New York City.

Laurel Lance/Black Canary – Katie Cassidy: This Arrow star may have the broadest acting repertoire of the cast, having previously appeared in various TV series and films.  Cassidy appeared in some seriously successful movies, including 2008’s Taken and will soon be seen in The Wolves at the Door to be released later this year. Season 4 of the hit show Gossip Girl welcomed Juliet Sharp, a scheming and secretive woman who developed into the formidable foe of Serena van der Woodsen. Cassidy reprised her role as Juliet in season 6, before moving on to shows like New Girl and a whole host of DC titles (Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Vixen)

Malcolm Merlyn – John Barrowman: John Barrowman is no stranger to the world of sci-fi, appearing in Doctor Who and its spinoff Torchwood as Captain Jack Harkness, a time-traveling alien hunter and former companion of the Doctor. Barrowman portrays Malcolm Merlyn as a charismatic yet twisted soul that has stood as both an ally and a foe to Team Arrow, donning the aliases of The Dark Archer and Al Sa-Her.

Ray Palmer/Atom – Brandon Routh: Routh may now be known for his roles in both Arrow and The Flash, but he had a multi-award winning role as Clark Kent/Superman in Superman Returns, battling Lex Luthor who aims to destroy not only Superman, but the world. In addition to the 2006 son of Krypton reboot, Routh has starred in Gilmore Girls, Will & Grace, Partners and DC’s Legends of tomorrow.

John Diggle – David Ramsey: John Diggle is a bodyguard, ex-soldier and a member of Team Arrow who plays a number of roles including guide to Oliver, decoy and field support and is also a former member of the Suicide Squad. Before Arrow, Ramsey appeared in a multitude of films like The Nutty Professor, The Coverup and Mother and Child as Joseph. Perhaps his best known role outside of the ‘Arrowverse’ is Anton Briggs from the TV series Dexter.

Roy Harper/Arsenal – Colton Haynes: Colton Haynes began his career as a New York model for Abercrombie & Fitch, followed by campaigns with J. C. Penny and Ralph Lauren. Haynes’ first major TV role came in the form of Jackson Whittemore on MTV’s Teen Wolf, where he transformed into a corrupted snake-like creature called a Kanima. As a part of the Arrow cast, Haynes plays a street-savvy young man who became The Arrow’s sidekick under the code-name Arsenal who also uses a bow and arrow as his weapon of choice when defending Star City.
