MOVING ON SERIES FIVE AND SIX DVD REVIEWS...

With a lot of time on my hands the past few weeks I have been spending time with my mum catching up on a lot of shows and watching some that I haven’t seen much of before. Amongst her selection was the afternoon show, Moving On, which featured some big names.
Today marks the release of the fifth and sixth seasons of the show and as someone who have now binge-watched both I thought it was the perfect time to talk about them.
Moving On Season Five
Starring in this season was the ever brilliant Sharon Horgan, the huge star from Catastrophe who wins my heart over every time, alongside many other familiar faces. Their stories continue to be real and make you want to see what is going to happen to them as they struggle through the issues they face.
From marriage troubles to childhood issues, the stories in each episode make the viewer see the realism in each scene. The characters know that something important is going to be needed to connected with their audiences and the actors play this well.
With perfect choices in this season each issue is treated with care and compassion or in the case of Horgan a little humour added in to. The perfect treat to enjoy with a cup of tea and a chit chat.
That is why I am giving the season…

Moving On Season Six
With figures being played by the likes of Hayley Mills and a very successful previous season, the hopes for season six of the show are high, but sadly they don’t match up to the standards of the previous one.
There is a sense that the show has already done a lot of the storylines and is now just getting new talent to play them. If they had looked in to the storylines a lot more and added twists and turns than this season would be a lot more interesting.
And there would be a better flow of what they are trying to achieve by making this season for those who enjoyed it when it was first on.
