Good Morning Lovelies,
With so much discussion surrounding the film during award season, it seemed as though Concussion was the film that the award season missed out on giving prizes to. But after watching it there is a reason why the film has missed out them.
While Smith is back on top form, the story and the plot of the film provide a boring outlook on a person who is probably one of the most important figures in sporting history. His story isn’t given life and the way in which it is explained makes for too much time spent not focusing on the important elements of the story.
As I said before this is no fault of Smith’s. He is back and in a powerful way, with a portrayal of a man with heart felt dedication to him. But it isn’t allowed to be explored in more depth. He could have been and should have been seen as an inspiring figure but he isn’t.
And sadly that is the reason I am giving it…
