BOBBY DVD REVIEW...

13:25:00

Hey Lovelies,

Bobby Moore is a man who no one in England will never not know and rightly so. He is a football legend and probably the best player there ever was. And yes I did just say that. So with today marking the release of ‘Bobby’ on DVD in the UK, I thought I would share with you all my thoughts on it.

Following the star on the road to the World Cup and the aftermath of it, the film shows a side to him that many may not know about and it leads for an interesting and factual journey. From his illness, which he kept secret from a long time from his fellow team mates, to the way he worked so hard to share his joy of the sport with fans, it is a joy to see Moore in such an intimate way.

The title of Sir and legend are often used to describe and this film shows people like me, who are probably too young to remember him fully, the brilliance of the man and the sport.

Weirdly though, there is a lot of added content that didn’t need to be placed within the film. There are many voices, including Russell Brand, who may not fit the platform of the film. It is nice to hear their thoughts on the film, but it would have been nicer to have heard about them outside of the film.

It is a special tribute to the stars and the most recognisable face of the world cup win, but with these unnecessary editions it becomes weaker than it should be. Fans will enjoy it, but more could be included from the day and the original players to make an even bigger impact.

There so I am giving the film…
