SUNSET SONG DVD REVIEW...

19:56:00

Hey Lovelies,

Over the weekend I finally sat down and watched the film, ‘Sunset Song’, starring Agyness Deyn and many more familiar faces in very interesting and dynamic characters.

Following a young woman and her family, the film shows the lifestyles of one family and the way in which Scotland was during the times. It is more of a story on Scotland then them, but it has a power of standing out and providing a new and interesting voice.

Based on the best-selling book of the same title, the film has a way of making audience feel sad and happy all at the same time, as you come to know of the characters and fights they have faced within their homes and lives. It takes audiences on a journey, much like the narration of the book, but in an interesting and intriguing movement.

There is a lot of sadness throughout the film, but the bright shots and great acting makes it possible for the audience to continue to watch and not be affected too much by the sadness that it makes them want to switch off the film. The director has made it possible to enjoy it without trying too hard as well which is a very smart choice.

Deyn gives a really strong performance in this film and makes her definite switch from modelling to acting within it and will no doubt be starring in more on screen action after this performance because it has shown her true acting talents as the leading lady in this film.

There so because of the choices, performances and overall version of the story I am giving the film a bright and sunny…
