Good Morning Lovelies,

And how are all of you today? I am here bright and early to continue the International Women’s Day celebrations, because even though the day is over, we must never stop celebrating our gender, something Smirnoff Sound Collective is happy to share with me!

As the music platform has made a new documentary called, ‘Tribes: DISCOWOMAN’, which follows the lives of female DJs as they fight to get equal pay and opportunities in the music industry, as they keep their energy alive on the dance seen.

Lasting 12 minutes, the documentary sees the three co-founders of DISCOWOMAN, the New York DJ collective and booking agency as they let Smirnoff into their work to take a look at some of their biggest stars including Black Madonna, Nicole Moudaber, Star Eyes, Sandunes, Demian Licht, and Nina Sonik lovelies.

“The Smirnoff Sound Collective has made a commitment to becoming the biggest contributor to the inclusive nature of electronic music culture,” said Justin Medcraft, SMIRNOFF Global Senior Brand Manager. “With today being International Women’s Day, we are fulfilling that commitment by using our global platform to celebrate diversity in a way that inspires positive conversation within music and how the culture truly becomes better when everyone is included.”

“The Smirnoff Sound Collective’s goal of telling an inclusive and diverse story about female DJs is something we decided to join forces with because the work we do is more than just about us,” said Frankie Hutchinson, DISCWOMAN co-founder. “It’s about an awesome community of women who have great talent and deserve their stories be shared and celebrated.”

You can watch the documentary on Smirnoff Sound Collective’s Youtube page lovelies or catch it at the four day Smirnoff Sound Collective’s event running from the 16th until the 19th March lovelies, where UK DJ’s Laura Jones, Honey Dijon, and Tokimonsta will also be playing.

Let’s hear it for the ladies lovelies!
