THE CINEMA HOLD UP AND MORE REVIEW...

Hey Lovelies,

A few weeks ago I was asked if I would like to watch and review a few cinema hits from around the world lovelies and of course I jumped at the chance to watch them! From Simply Media, the world of cinema came to life on screen with these five films. Starting with ‘The Cinema Hold Up’…

The Cinema Hold Up Review

From Mexico, the film follows four teenagers as they turn to crime that ends up causing problems for their friendship and families. As soon as the film begins the audience is thrown into their world and it is hard to not sit on the edge of your seat, as their actions are played out on screen.

With great acting talents and situations that make for an explosive time, there is a truth with the story on screen to the ways in which the youth culture is seen around the world and that is sad for many to discover.

Therefore I am giving the film…

4 Stars

The Ways of Wine Review

More comical then the previous film, the film follows wine experts and mock wine experts as they try to help a wine expert who has lost his knowledge find his way back to the skills in which he has made his career all about.

A film to watch on a Sunday when you are not sure why that wine was a good choice last night, there is a fun and festive atmosphere to this film that will pick everyone’s mood up, as they make sure that there is comedy throughout their journey in some of the most amazing and beautiful places in the world.

This had led me to give the film…

4 Stars

From Other Worlds Review

Not your average film, this sci-fi portrayal of a housewife is completely different to anything in which you have seen before in the genre. Taking audiences back to the start of the genre and the magic in which it first made when it first came out, this film makes audience members remember the greatness that came with it.

There are so many elements within the film that make it a stand out piece they should be proud of because the actors and filmmakers have placed the sci-fi genre in a brand new world that it should hopefully stay in.

Therefore I am giving it…

5 Stars

HEYDAY! Review

Created by Gordon Pinsent, the film tells the story of Terry Fleming, a young teenager who is facing the world as it reaches the final day of WWII. His story is completely different to the ways in which the normal teen films look at things and by placing the character in a world that has never really been given a teen story, the director has made a hit film.

It is done in a peaceful and beautiful manner, so much so that when it comes down to the cinematic elements being explored in depth there is no way in which they would not be able to succeed.

This has led me to giving the film…

4 Stars

Clash Review

The final film in which I reviewed lovelies, was Clash and this one was probably the one in which I found the hardest to watch to be honest. Telling the true story of two brothers who get involved in a gang war, there is a lot of depth and troubles within it.

But that doesn’t make it hard to watch, what does is the elements that make up their story and the ways in which the environment and plot lack elements that could have made the film stronger.

Therefore I am giving it…
