#FILMFRIDAY! JOCELYN STEVENSON GIVEN SPECIAL BAFTA CHILDREN'S AWARD...

Good Morning Lovelies, 

We have started blogging and today we are all about the celebrations lovelies, because BAFTA have announced that a childhood TV legend will be getting a huge award at this year’s British Academy Children’s Awards! 


Producer and writer, Jocelyn Stevenson, who has worked in the industry for 30 years, and created shows including ‘Sesame Street’, ‘Bob the Builder’ and ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ will be given the award for all of her hard work within the industry. 

Speaking about it, Jocelyn Stevenson said: “Thank you so much to BAFTA. I’m thrilled, grateful and honoured to be accepting this award. I have been privileged to have worked with some of the most talented people in the industry throughout my career, and I look forward to celebrating with them on such an exciting night.”

While, Helen Blakeman, Chair of BAFTA’s Children’s Committee, said: “We are delighted that Jocelyn Stevenson is this year’s Special Award recipient. In the 20th anniversary of BAFTA’s Children’s Awards, Jocelyn has been integral to the children’s television, film and games industry over that time, creating well-loved favourites and iconic brands. All her work has one thing in common: creative excellence.”
