Hey Lovelies, 

Recently I was sent the film, ‘Rough Cut’ to review and so on a cold and wet afternoon I snuggled up and watched it to find out what it was all about lovelies, leading me to this review lovelies! 

Throughout watching the film felt like a soap opera, as the characters and style in which the film had been shot it, reflected that of many soap opera pieces that have been on TV in recent years. The film was continuously following different characters as the detective within it searches to figure out who has committed the crimes within it. 

There was so much going on at times in fact, that it became quite hard to follow and therefore it felt as though the film should have been split up and made into episodes on the TV, instead of a feature length film. It did not lack watch ability, but it would have been laid out better and had a more continuous flow to it if it had been so. 

As well as this, it would have been easier to connect with the films characters if the audience were given more time to get to grips with them and their world, as it kept leaving and moving away from them a lot, making it hard to follow them on their journeys and the paths in which they were leading the viewers down.
