Hey Lovelies,

A few days ago the Raindance Film Festival announced its programme line up and with all of the madness of the past couple of days, I have finally got round to sharing it with all of you lovelies, and I think you are all going to enjoy it as it looks brilliant!

With over 48 countries involved in sharing their films, shorts and documentaries at the events, the festival has teamed up with Vue Cinemas, The May Fair Hotel, BFI/Creative Skillset, Shortlist and Variety to run from the 23rd September until the 4th October, where 90 feature films, 200 shorts and 30 events including the Raindance Forum will play.

Starting with the world premiere of ‘Newcomer’, created by BIFA winner James Floyd and Anthony LaPaglia, which will be held at the Café de Paris, however this is not the only world premiere at the event, as the festival will also host the world and UK premieres for ‘Rickie Lee Jones: The Other Side of Desire’ and ‘Alice in Marialand’.

To run alongside one of his year’s theme lovelies, which is the Digital Age, the festival will also feature ‘Deep Web’, ‘Digital Dissisents’ which looks into those fighting the digital age, ‘Social Suicide’ and 'Love Me Do', plus a number of short films including ‘Abscene’ and ‘I Exist’.

However the festivals main theme this year celebrates 50 years of ‘Super 8’, which was highlighted through the events new trailer, as it was shot entirely on Super 8 lovelies.

The event will also be joined by the Raindance Symphony Orchestra again this year, as they share the music of Carlos Varela and Voice of the Eagle: The Enigma of Robbie Basho, before the festivals ceremony is held on the 2nd October in which the jury members that include Col Needham, Founder and CEO of IMDb, actress Sheridan Smith and actor Martin Freeman will attend.
