Hey Lovelies, 

You are all in for a treat now lovelies! You are going to love this news, I am sure of it! From Studiocanal UK and director Todd Haynes, I present to all of you lovelies, Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara’s latest film, ‘Carol’! 

Based on the best-selling book by Patricia Highsmith, the film is set during the 1950s and follows Therese Belivet, a young woman who works in a Manhattan department store and is looking for more out of life. Until she meets Carol, a woman trapped in an unhappy marriage. 

The pair automatically bond and the spark between them grows, as they get to know each other better. Carol finally leaves her husband; however her happiness is destroyed when he threatens to take legal action over her abilities as a mother, due to her relationship with Therese and her best friend Abby. Deciding to leave home, Carol goes on a journey to find herself again and discover who she truly is.

After a huge response from Cannes Film Festival, the film has been chosen as the American Express Gala film at this year’s BFI London Film Festival on the 14th October lovelies, before it is released in the UK from the 27th November, which will be held at the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square.
