Hey Lovelies, 

It has come to that time of the day where I share with you some huge release news lovelies and today’s comes from Sky, Now TV and OEG Classic Movies lovelies, who are bringing back to life some truly brilliant pieces. 

Let’s start with the latest release news from OEG Classic Movies lovelies, as they company have announced that they will be releasing ‘World War II – The British Movietone Newsreel Years Collector’s Edition’ on DVD for the first time ever on the 7th September lovelies. 

With all of the footage being remastered for the special edition six disc set, the film shows a number of newsreel that took place during the war, including over sixteen hours of WW2 footage that has not been seen since it was first shown on TV. 

The footage has come from places such as the Western Front, Paris,  Africa, the Middle East and the Pacific, and sees figures such as Winston Churchill, Adolf Hitler, Montgomery, Mussolini, George Formby, Gracie Fields, and many others speaking about the war as it happened. 

 Look out for it soon lovelies! 

And now for the huge news from Sky lovelies, who have announced that they will be giving you lovelies another great chance to catch the ‘Star Wars’ saga again, as they celebrate the franchise for a whole weekend, starting on the 8th August on Sky Movies, NOW TV and Sky Movies Pass, plus their on demand platform.


From the 8th until the 9th August, fans will be able to catch, ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’, ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Star Wars: Return of the Jedi’, as well as ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’. Before the prequel films are aired on the 15-16th August, showing ‘Star Wars: The Phantom Menace’, ‘Star Wars: Attack of the Clones’ and ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ and even more seasons of ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’.

Then on the 22nd until the 23rd August, the complete saga will be shown, along with more ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ episodes, leading up to the 29th – 31st August in which the saga will be shown again but with episodes of ‘Star Wars: Rebels’ being shown.

Speaking about the franchise, Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies, commented: “As a massive Star Wars fan I personally can’t wait to rediscover one of the most enduring franchises of all time. What excites me even more, however, is that there will be a whole new generation of Sky Movies and NOW TV customers who will be able to discover the Star Wars Saga for the first time; an incredibly envious position to be in!”
