#FILMFRIDAY! CINDERELLA TV SHOW REVIEW...

08:43:00

Hey Lovelies,

Many of you know that I am a huge fan of fairy tales and the idea of a show bringing to life one of my all-time favourites makes me very happy, which is why I was excited to watch ‘Cinderella’ starring Vanessa Hessler in the leading role.

Based on the famous fairy tale, this mini-series sets up a modern version of the famous story in the city of Italy, with a new theme of the prince being in fact the boy next door. The story has been updated to tell younger fans the story; however it also allows many of us older fans to relive the magic of the story in a new way.

Each actor and actress has taken their roles and made them their own within the show, and while many emotions are similar towards them as they are to the original tale, there is an innocence within these versions that make them a joy to watch.

And the ways in which they are incorporating their home towns and languages into the roles is a nice way of seeing the different versions in which different countries look at the famous stories. The setting’s within the show are absolutely beautiful and fit the story well, while the language makes the show have an elegance about it that hasn’t been seen much before.

However I do have to point out, that the show does remind those watching of ‘A Cinderella Story’ broken down into episodes instead of a feature piece. It would have been nice to have had a completely refreshing idea, although I did still enjoy this. Even though you can spot the comparisons.

Therefore I am giving the show…
