Hey Lovelies, 

Sorry for the little pause in blogging, my leg was causing me a lot of pain and I wanted to have a little lie down with it to see if it would stop hurting! But don’t worry because I am back now and with a ton of release news to share with you! 

Starting with this news from the BFI, as they have announced that they will be hosting a rare visit from cinematic legend, Hou Hsiao-Hsien lovelies, as he makes a visit to the UK to host a conversation event at the BFI Southbank on the 14th September, to mark the start of a special season dedicated to his work, which will be running from the 2nd September until the 8th October. 

Many of Hou’s films including, ‘Cute Girl’, ‘Cheerful Wind’, ‘The Green Green Grass of Home’, ‘The Sandwich Man’, ‘The Boys from Fengkuei’, ‘The Time to Live and the Time to Die’, ‘A City of Sadness’, ‘The Puppetmaster’, ‘Good Men, Good Women’, ‘Flowers of Shanghai’, ‘Mambo’, ‘Café Lumière’, ‘The Red Balloon’ and ‘Flight of the Red Balloon’, will be shown throughout the season lovelies!


And from Arrow Films, the company have announced that they will be releasing on Blu-ray for the first time ever, ‘Nightmare City’ and ‘Madman’ from the 25th August lovelies! 

‘Nightmare City’ is a bit of a bonkers zombie based classic lovelies that inspired a number of filmmakers, including fans of the film Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth lovelies! While ‘Madman’ follows an elderly farmer who is caught by police after he kills his wife and children, and the reaction in which he gets from the town when he escapes their grasp.
